How we got there: Flew from Anchorage with a stop in Juneau. The park and the town of Gustavus are only accessible by plane or boat.
Lodging: Glacier Bay Lodge
Favorites:
- Full-Day boat tour aboard the Baranoff Wind. Travel 120 round trip miles into Glacier Bay with wildlife viewing and a view of a tidewater glacier calving into the ocean.
- Bartlet Cove Trails: Easy trails for a stroll through the woods or along the beach near the Glacier Bay Lodge.
Tips: Flights and ferries in and out of Gustavus/Glacier Bay are limited. Check schedules and plan the rest of your trip around them.
