
Hurricane Hill Trail | Sol Duc Falls | Ruby Beach

How we got there: Drove from Seattle via Bainbridge Island Ferry. 2.5 hours from downtown to Visitor Center in Port Angeles.
Lodging: Lake Crescent Lodge – Variety of room types avalable, on-site restaurant.
Favorites:
- Hurricane Hill Trail – 3.2 mile round trip hike from near the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center to a scenic ridge. 650 ft elevation gain.
- Sol Duc Falls Nature Trail – Easy 1.7 mile round trip hike through dense forest to a wooden bridge overlooking Sol Duc Falls.
- Hoh Rain Forest – Easy trails through lush forest of trees, mosses and ferns.
- Ruby Beach – Stroll amongst sea stacks with the sound of crashing waves
Tips: Don’t forget the coastal section of the park. Plan for plenty of driving time to reach the interior sections of the park.
Next time: Try a long day hike or do multi-day hiking with backcountry camping. Stay at Lake Quinalt Lodge.
