Hidden Beach | Morning fog on Bald Hills Road | Tall Trees Grove

How we got there: Drove from Lassen Volcanic during a San Francisco to Seattle road trip. 5 hours.
Lodging: Motel Trees
Favorites:
- Hidden Beach – Short Coastal Trail spur to a secluded beach with starfish-filled tide pools and rocky shoreline.
- Tall Trees Grove – Get permit from the visitor center for access to this area with some of the tallest trees in the world. 4 miles total with 800 feet of elevation gain.
Tips: Bring a variety of clothing options, the foggy coast can be much cooler than the higher-altitude interior areas.
Next time: Visit Lady Bird Johnson Grove. Backcountry Hiking.
